It tells the story of an incredible British singer/songwriter’s journey through the eyes of those who have found his music to be a strong and unifying force, whether at his amazing concerts or through his albums. The community is always seen and appreciated so much by Louis, and the love just flows off the pages. Major props to the fantastic editing and inviting formatting by Sky Burton, along with the written connecting essays and overall devotion to this project. It’s a book not only for the devoted “louies”, but for anyone who values authenticity in music and a fascinating look into a singer/fandom connection that is strong, organic, and uplifting.

The Love It Takes is a beautiful testament to the amazing individual that is Louis Tomlinson through the words of his fans. There is so much love poured out into this book and it has been so beautifully and thoughtfully put together. I don't usually leave reviews, but for this I had to. Please do yourself a favor and get a copy of this book or gift it to someone that you think would appreciate it. Skylar Burton has done such an outstanding job getting this book put together and out there and it is truly a work of art.

At 73 I am a Louis fan and my picture and short story are in the book but it wouldn’t matter if I was in it or not because Skylar has done her research, gathered the fans, the pictures and the feelings that Louis creates.

After reading, you will understand why Louis is so loved. Not only is he a great artist, a great lyricist, but he's been able to walk through the shadows of the music industry, when his tenacity and refuse to give up got him to the big stages, he remains a decent person who's humble and because of his life journey he values all the right things.

I love this book!After having followed louis's career since xf,hes been through so much but as battled against everything/body that's tried to stop him, this book shows his journey and what he means to his fans, as someone who suffered so badly with depression he saved me and to see other stories is amazing, its a beautiful book, skylar you are wonderful thank you!!
